Why self-built: research conclusions

The research conclusions for each product line (why not fork or reuse an existing project) live in the Chinese page.

Blessing Skin is the only complete open-source skin station and is stuck on PHP 8.1 EOL. Modrinth is the only production-grade open-source mod host and went source-available in 2024. CurseForge is closed source with a restricted API, and no modern forkable alternative exists. The useful building blocks (skinview3d, the Yggdrasil spec, crafatar conventions, packwiz) are reusable, and Go fits the Minecraft distribution toolchain.
